2.Quintessential Shophouses along Koon Seng Road
Along Koon Seng Road, you’ll find some of Singapore’s prettiest heritage shophouses. Painted in elegant pastel hues and built in the early 20th century, Peranakan shophouses boast colourful Chinese-inspired art decor styles and wooden window shutters. The art piece is further spiced with interesting bits of Straits Peranakan elements on the artwork. Peranakan elements by his mentor/artist jtmuses. His works have been given as awards during the Enabling Mark Awards launched nationwide on 28 Aug 2021 for 16 exemplary individuals and organizations!
4.Joo Chiat Residential Shophouse and Frangipani Tree
Artist with Special Needs- Jayden
The artwork portrays HAPPINESS - 幸福
The iconic residential shophouse in Joo Chiat – our historic gem of nostalgia – was digitally drawn by Jayden Ong, an artist with autism. Jayden adds Plumeria flower power (bloom where you are planted!) and birds of many feathers to bring joy into his artwork. Co-canvassed by his mentor JTMUSES are ladies in traditional attire having a blast with firecrackers! Recollect the fizzling 70s!

Your lacquer product has 18 layers, please handle it with care, do not soak, but wipe with a damp cloth after use.It can not withstand high temperatures for serving food and hot dishes can not be placed directly onto it. If you are storing your lacquer product in an air-conditioned environment, store it flat with a weight on top for a couple of weeks. The multiple layers make it very durable and you will have years of use if you look after it correctly.
